Basics of Botox Injections

I bet you have heard of Botox Injections. Botox was approved by FDA as an orphan drug for the treatment of strabismus, hemifacial spasms, and blepharospasm in Dec 1989.

You could see its advertisements appear in media quite a lot. As we all know Botox is the commercial trade name for Botulinum Toxin Type A that derived from the bacterium Clostridium Botulinum.

As a matter of fact, botox is the toxic compound produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. However, it is a popular non-surgical injection that most often used to reduce frown lines, forehead creases, crows feet near the eyes and thick bands in the neck.

Botox works by blocking the signal that nerves are trying to pass to the muscles. This has the effect of making the skin above the muscles fall flat and appears smooth. Besides, botox could help in relieving migraine headaches, excessive sweating and muscle spasms in the neck and eyes.

When it comes to anti aging and looking younger, injection of botox could be one of your best choices.
